Pen and ink 19.5 x 11.3 cm English illustrator and caricaturist. His early work for the Illustrated London News was followed by employment with Punch. The French classed Keene with Degas, Adolph Menzel and Pissarro. Lord Leighton called him an “unsurpassed student of character”.
