To celebrate the restaurant’s fifth anniversary, employees gathered in front of the Parkmoor, located at the corner of Clayton Road and Big Bend Boulevard. After the first Parkmoor opened in 1931, the drive-in model was so popular that the restaurant eventually had six St. Louis locations. But as Route 66 and its car culture waned, the last Parkmoor closed in 1999.
